Many companies claim their product is safe for towing. We go beyond computer simulations and physically tested our solid billet hitch assembly according to the SAE standards. Over 5,000 lbs of tongue weight must be applied with minimal permanent deflection in order to pass.
We almost doubled the required load test for Class 4 rating. Over 9,800 lbs of tongue weight force was appled to our hitch assembly before bend failure. This puts us really close to a Class 5 – 20,000lb rating. However, we rate our Trail Swing to a Class 4 – 10,000lbs for your ultimate safety and confidence when towing.
Trail Swing is built on a solid foundation. Although the Trail Swing itself can handle 10,000 lbs of towing very easily, it is important that you check your vehicle’s rated tow capacity. All vehicles vary in their maximum tow weight and tongue weight. Please check your vehicle owner’s manual before towing. Tongue weight and leverage will have an effect on your vehicle’s overall tow capacity.
